In this guide, Icover what I think is the best balance boards or skate trainers if you are only really focused on learning how to do skateboarding flipping tricks, ollies, and shuvits.
If you are interested in learning about balance training for all the different types of skills that are used in street skateboarding or longboarding check out my guides.
I cover the best ways to train your balance for slides, board walking/dancing, grinds, manuals, downhill and more.
I have done a lot of research on all the different balance boards that are on the market today, I have picked the best balance board for doing ollies and flipping tricks and a few others that are worth mentioning.
(Meant to be read in Bruce Buffers` voice) And the winning title for the best balance board that allows you to practice flipping tricks, ollies and shuvits is the revolution core 32.
The Revolution core 32 has a double kicktail deck that is 32 inches long by 8.5 inches wide, and the diameter of the roller is 5 inches with a length of 20 inches.
In metric, the board is 81 Cm by 22 Cm, and the roller diameter is12.7 Cm, and the length is 51 Cm
This board is the best for learning flipping tricks for a few reasons.
The deck itself is similar to a skateboard deck and has a nice design to it.
Practicing with a deck that is similar in shape and size of a skateboard will make it easier to transfer the skills you learn on the balance board.
The rollers used with the board is unique because it is weighted, this helps keep the roller directly under you making it easier to land tricks.
Learning how to land a trick on a balance board roller is very challenging and will help you get better at sticking landing when on the street.
The down sides to this board
This balance board is more dangerous to use compared to skateboard trainers that do not sit on top of a roller.
If you are going to be using this board to practice flipping skills you should be ok with the fact that taking a fall will be inevitable because landing a trick on the roller is a hard skill to learn.
This board is the best board for learning flipping tricks, but vew-do boards will allow you to work on a wider range of balance and skateboarding skills.
2nd place for best balance board for learning skateboarding tricks is the vew-do el dorado
The Vew -do El Dorado is a double kicktail board that is 31 inches by 9 inches and uses a 5-inch roller
Or in metric the Vew do El Dorado is78.7 Cm by 22.8 Cm, and roller diameter is 12.7 Cm
Vew-do boards allow you to practice flipping tricks, but they also will let you work on skills like rotations, spins, and slides.
Due to the design of the track and roller systems on Vew-do boards, you can use the board at a steep angle, and this will help simulate the feel of carving and allow you to work on your heel to toe balance.

Some of the downsides to the el dorado.
Landing a flipping trick is going to much harder with a vew-do board because you have to get the track on the bottom of the board to land perfectly in the groove cut out in the roller.
The roller is made out of wood and will eventually get worn out from the metal rails on the bottom of the deck slamming down on it if you are planning on practicing lots of flipping tricks or ollies.
With that being said the vew-do company does sell the rollers on their own so you can easily find a replacement one.
Check out of my guide that covers vew-do boards for more in depth information on their whole line up of boards.
3rd place goes to syck trix balance boards
The syck tricks balance board is a double kicktail deck that is 30.75 inches long and 7.5 inches wide that has two inflatable cushions that are stuck on the bottom of the board.
What makes this board unique is that it is the safest to use because it does not you a roller.
Another good thing about this board is that it can use indoors, and out doors on all types of surfaces, unlike a balance board that uses a roller.
Furthermore (maybe parents would like this part the most) is that this board would be less likely to damage flooring and will be not as loud as other balance boards or skate trainers when being used indoors compared to boards with a roller.
I think this board would be the best choice for young children that don't know how to skate or for someone looking for a safer way to learn the proper mechanics needed to perform tricks.

The down sides to this board.
This board can be helpful if you want to get the technique for a trick ingrained into your muscle memory. But it can still be challenging to transfer the skills you learn on with this board onto a moving skateboard because you still need to learn how to land on a real skateboard.
The tubes used to inflate the disks on the bottom of the board are similar to bicycle tire inner tubes this means that sharp objects can puncture them.
